Come and See Formation for Discernment of Vocation is THE handbook for formators as well as formees. Jesus’ invitation to come and see was indirectly a call to follow him, an invitation to know him more personally by being with him. This call is the journey of faith of every disciple. The candidates to religious life, like the disciples, have heard the call of Jesus, have been attracted by his charming personality and have decided to follow him. In this process they are helped by their formator/counsellor to clarify their intention before taking a definite step. One who chooses the religious life must cultivate an ardent love for Jesus, in order to surrender to him, and dedicate oneself wholeheartedly to his service.
