On October 14, 2007, the Diocesan Community Library celebrated its 34th Anniversay. The theme for the celebration was "Peace and Harmony."

Annually this Library Day Celebration is held in order to make known our Library and to promote the good reading habit among children and youth.

Mr. Naysan Sabha, a communications specialist from the UNICEF was the Guest of Honour and Speaker of the Day. Rev. Fr. Victor D'Souza, Vicar General of the Archdiocese was the chief guest.

To mark the occasion, the library staff committee organized an Inter-School Poetry writing competition in which 172 students from 20 schools participated. Youth groups from 5 parishes took part in the Inter-Parish singing competition which was held during the function. .

It was followed by the retreat directed by Fr. Kurien Kunnumpuram SJ, from 22-28 Septmber.

On 20 June, 2007 Sr Marisa Maruthanakuzhy FSP, shared with them some of the insights she received during the Hermeneutics Meeting on Ven. Thecla Merlo, Co-Foundress of the Daughters of St Paul, which she participated in February 2007, at our Generalate in Rome.
