On 2nd November 2008, the Diocesan Community Centre Library Delhi, celebrated its 35th anniversary. It was marked with the yearly ‘Library day’. The Chief Guest was Most Rev. Archbishop Vincent M. Concessao. The Vicar general Rev. Fr. Victor D’Souza, Vicar General, Rev. Fr. George Manimala, the Chairman of the Library, were also guest at the celebration.
The Speaker of the day was Mr. Anand Lal, one of the leading and eminent person in the field of media and a Senior Producer, Zee News.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp followed by a welcome address and a prayer dance. Sr. Jenet Directress of the centre presented the Library Report. His Grace Archbishop Vincent stressed on the need to remember the vision and purpose of the founders. Dance Competition based on the theme of the day –“Transformation through Communication” marked the occasion. The winners distinguished guests, members of the sub-committee and the judges of the competitions were given gifts as a token of appreciation. The programme ended with a vote of thanks followed by Refreshments.
