Here in Bandra, Mumbai, which includes the Formation House, Provincial House and the Apostolic Community, we had a joint celebration of the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, and also Independence Day Anniversary celebrations. Beginning with a beautiful liturgical celebration, in the morning, led by Sr Liza, the president of the Eucharist led us to reflect on the virtues of Mary and of good Indian citizens. It was a red letter day for Anjana, Sasmita, Shashi, Shiny, Sweta who entered the stage of Postulancy, under the guidance of Sr Sally, their Formator in charge. After the Eucharist, we had the flag hoisting ceremony. Sr Anne hoisted the flag as we stood in attention, guide by one of our postulants. This was followed by an organized programme, in the Queen of Apostles Community Hall, which included patriotic speeches in English and Hindi and a patriotic dance and song too, by the Aspirants, Postulants and Sisters of the Queen of Apostles Community.
