Every year, lakhs of pilgrims both Christian and those of other faiths, flock to Mt Mary Basilica to pay their annual homage to her.

This year to Archbishop Oswald Gracias celebrated the solemn Feast Day Eucharist on Sunday 9th Sepetmeber, at 11:30 a.m.

The week which follows with its extravagant festivity both spiritual and material is a joy to behold. After paying their respects to Mary and her Son Jesus, in the Basilica, make their way through the crowd buying a rosary here or a book there, some bubbles here or some grams ,'mt mary chana' there!!

No one goes back without munching some of the 'chana', as it is called.

The Pauline Family is also represnted here in the form of two stalls, one by the Daughters of St Paul, and the other by the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master.

It is a joy to see Bibles, prayer books, self-improvement books, audio and video cds make their way to people, who have come to Mary seeking wholeness. Rosaries and statues from the PDDM stall, are some of the many articles which reach their homes too.
